8th Annual Best Practice Rehabilitation of Mined Lands Conference

The 2018 Mined Land Rehabilitation Conference will bring leading professionals, stakeholders and companies together to improve the future of mining rehabilitation.

The 8th Annual Best Practice Ecological Rehabilitation of Mined Lands Conference is organised by the Tom Farrell Institute for the Environment (TFI) and Hunter Environmental Institute (HEI) is a significant event on the Hunter Region calendar. With more than 300 delegates anticipated to attend, it is one of the largest mining rehabilitation conferences in Australia.

With events running over three (3) days, this is the most comprehensive rehabilitation conference in Australia.

  • Wednesday 11 April - Mine site tours to local mines showcasing their rehabilitation efforts
  • Thursday 12 April - Main conference at Wests New Lambton from approx 8am through to 5pm.  Conference dinner to follow in same location (brought to you by HEI)
  • Friday 13 April - 2 workshops are being organised to discuss best practices and on the ground case studies
